ENCAUSTIC WORKSHOPS/CLASSES
Private Studio Setting-W. Burnside/NW 23rd neighborhood
  • Saturday Workshop, March 31st,  10:30 AM – 4:00 PM, all levels welcome.  Email for registration information.  $50 to register, $100 due at class.
  • Open Paint, $50 – All equipment and basic supplies provided, no instruction, must have some previous encaustic painting experience/have taken a class before. Contact me for dates if interested.  kelly@kellywilliamsart.com

All skill levels are welcome; all materials are provided and participants leave with finished art.

We will cover the basics (board prep, layering, fusing, incising), then branch out into multiple diverse techniques available depending on the interests of the class.  Some of these may include masking/stencils, incorporated drawing, image transfers, collage and embedded objects as well as many more options.  Feel free to bring any original images/photos, interesting metal tools/objects and anything you might like to experiment with.

Forget your inhibitions and immerse yourself in the creative process.  Play with fire, make a mess, and enjoy the spontaneity and unpredictability of encaustic painting in a supportive environment

The studio schedule is very flexible and customizable for private and group sessions.  Girls’ night out, family bonding or couples activity, and team building are all examples of fun custom classes that can be designed for you.

$50 pre-registration holds your spot (applied to total).  3-8 students (minimum registration required)
