Earth to Ash: Ireland is on display at the Portland'5 2nd floor gallery, in the lobby of the Newmark Theater (1111 SW Broadway Ave), August 24 through October 1, 2024. Viewing is open to the public on evenings of events at the Newmark Theater and by appointment. Check the Newmark Theater schedule for viewings outside the exhibition opening date.

In this body of work, I connect with the land and history of Ireland by using materials like peat ash and holy water, collected during my residency. I harness fire and sunlight in my encaustic techniques to echo the forces of weather and time, creating textured, layered, and luminous pieces.
