“How do I add more meaning to my art?” Whether exploring personal, social, or environmental issues, employing intentionally derived content to your creative practice can add an additional layer of complexity to your visual vocabulary. Develop and document personal symbols spanning from pure abstraction to representational imagery. We will discuss the use of the formal elements and principles of art including how to employ composition, emphasis, scale, repetition, texture and color theory to support and reiterate meaning. This creates pathways to more intentional content and personal meaning in your art practice while maintaining an elevated and professional final product.
This presentation is done with the generous support of the Ford Family Foundation Grant through the Oregon Arts Commission.
